In particular, it ensures an appropriate level of security and the safeguarding of your data subject rights.

Purpose of Data Processing
The purpose of data processing is to initiate employment relationships pursuant to Article 6(1)(b) and Article 88(1) of the GDPR in conjunction with Section 26 of the BDSG. Data will not be disclosed to other companies.

Categories of Recipients
Applicants’ data is not disclosed to third parties. Since we use service providers for our information technology who are separately bound by confidentiality and data protection obligations, access to personal data in this context cannot be ruled out. Categories of recipients outside of management and human resources include service providers responsible for hosting, support, and operation of this website; service providers responsible for data destruction; and external consultants. Data will be disclosed to government authorities only if required by overriding legal provisions. Data is not transferred to third countries.

Your data will be stored for the duration of the application process; if you begin employment with us, your application data will be stored for the duration of your employment. If your application is rejected, we will retain your data for an additional 6 months in accordance with legal requirements and then delete it; in the case of unsolicited applications or if you consent to us storing your data for a longer period for potential future employment, we will retain your data until you revoke your consent or for a maximum of two years.

Sanctions List Screening
We are legally required to conduct sanctions list screening. The legal basis for data processing is Article 6(1)(c) of the GDPR. For this purpose, your contact information is transferred to a service provider—who is separately bound by confidentiality and data protection obligations—to be checked against sanctions lists. Your data will be processed solely for the purpose of sanctions list screening and will be deleted upon expiration of the statutory retention period.

Your Right to Access, Rectification, Erasure, Objection, and Data Portability
You may exercise your right to access, rectify, and erase your data at any time. Please contact us using the methods described above. If you request that your data be deleted but we are still legally required to retain it, access to your data will be restricted (blocked). The same applies in the event of an objection. You may exercise your right to data portability to the extent that the technical capabilities are available both at the recipient’s end and on our end.
